At Westcor, everything we do is with our awesome title agents and employees in mind. That includes supporting them as they make a lasting impact in communities all across the U.S. To kickstart 2023, we’re spotlighting one major way we do that.

Through Westcor Gives, we use our connections in local neighborhoods where our agents do business and provide opportunities to give back. It’s not only the right thing to do—it’s contagious. Giving back inspires others to do the same.

With that, we’d like to highlight a few organizations the good humans of Westcor contributed to—whether financially or with time—this past year.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida

In August 2022, some of our generous Westcor team members spent time packing nearly 10,000 pounds of food, which was distributed to Second Harvest’s partner food pantries, soup kitchens, women’s shelters, senior centers, and Kids Cafes.

This is all part of Second Harvest’s mission to create hope and nourish lives through a powerful hunger relief network. In addition to food distribution, Second Harvest also offers a 16-week culinary training program to economically disadvantaged adults, empowering them to land jobs that can better support themselves and their families.

Children’s Charities of Fort Worth

Founded in 1988 by a group of business professionals and community leaders, Children’s Charities of Fort Worth (CCFW) helps professionals connect to volunteer opportunities at local children’s charities. They aim to bring awareness and support to organizations serving disadvantaged children throughout greater Fort Worth and Tarrant County.

In December 2022, Westcor was a sponsor for their 33rd Annual Fort Worth Margarita Ball, the largest fundraiser CCFW hosts each year.

Thrive Clermont

Located in Central Florida, Thrive Clermont is a charitable youth organization dedicated to empowering teens to lead successful lives. They provide ways to help them grow in key life skills and prepare for a career or college. The organization also offers experiential leadership training, community engagement or volunteering, and an emotional and mental health awareness program.

Thrive Clermont’s impact is achieved through year-round programming, including summer pop-ups and an adulting series. They also facilitate a Teen Advisory Council (TAC), a group of teenagers who shape the organization’s programs and serve as ambassadors.

Westcor’s very own HR Director, Brian Zollweg, serves as the organization’s president!

We can all do our part to support incredible organizations like these in our communities and beyond. Check out Part 2 to learn about more of the organizations we helped out in 2022.
