Maitland, Fla. (May 26, 2026) – Westcor Land Title Insurance Company® is proud to announce the first ever recipient of the Mary O’Donnell Scholarship, a dedicated fund to support the children of employees in their pursuit of higher education. Caeden Mills has been named the 2026 winner from a competitive pool of applicants due to his academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement. He will receive $25,000 each year for the next four years, totaling $100,000.
Mills is graduating from Westerville North High School and will soon be attending The Ohio State University, where he plans to study Atmospheric Sciences/Meteorology.
“This scholarship represents how Mary O’Donnell thought of others,” said Mike Schefstad, the program’s Committee Chair and Westcor’s Chief Financial Officer. “Not only did she consider each employee as part of the Westcor family, but she also saw every person that might rely on our employees as family too. As Mary said, ‘The greatest joy in life is watching somebody succeed and knowing you had a little piece in helping them get there.’”
The scholarship program honors the wonderful life of Westcor’s former CEO, Mary O’Donnell, her leadership, and the excellence she exemplified. As part of her legacy, the program supports employees and fostering future leaders, two initiatives O’Donnell was incredibly passionate about.
