Susan Pelham, Vice President, Operations

Susie Pelham was raised and educated in Christchurch, New Zealand, where she began her settlement career handling closings for a local law firm. She moved to the United States and was initiated into the Title Insurance industry when she became a Closer for Chelsea Title Company in 1985. She advanced over the next years eventually becoming Branch Operations Manager where she managed 10 branches throughout the State of Florida. In addition to her duties to the closing offices she began to provide Chelsea Title’s parent company, American Pioneer, with operational assistance. She consulted with the IT Department in the creation of their APTItude® CLOSER software. She also worked with the Legal and Audit departments to assist in identifying and correcting operational issues with agencies. She also presented training seminars for agents to help increase sales and increase operational efficiencies.  In 2003 she took over the role of HR Director and assisted with the transition of American Pioneer employees into the Fidelity National Financial system upon their purchase of American Pioneer in 2004.

Susie joined Westcor Land Title in October 2004 as Vice President, Operations and is responsible for the company’s daily operations, Human Resources, and Training Departments. She is a licensed Florida Title Insurance Agent, a graduate of the Florida Land Title Institute and an approved instructor with the Florida Department of Financial Services, the Florida Bar, and the Florida Real Estate Commission.

Susie currently resides in Winter Park, Florida and she enjoys gardening, ballroom dancing and travel – including frequent trips back to her native New Zealand.
