Westcor agent, Title One closed their first remote online purchase transaction in the state of Minnesota. Remote online notarization (RON) became legal in Minnesota on January 1, 2019. The new technology makes it possible to notarize closing documents remotely with an internet connected device such as a laptop, tablet or smartphone as long as it has a camera and microphone. Title One worked with Notarize to be the first title agent to close a purchase transaction with a remote online notary in the state of Minnesota. The remote online technology platform allowed buyers in California to close on their new property in Minnesota quickly and at their convenience.
